I checked my books and acording to the DC Manual, the P0443 code is not the BOV or anything to do with the turbo directly.
It is an Evaporative emission purge Valve. It is located close to the AC "tie-down-bolts" and bellow the Cruise control valve.
here is the operational description from the manual:
"All vehicles use a proportional purge solenoid (Fig.
2). The solenoid regulates the rate of vapor flow from
the EVAP canister to the throttle body. The PCM
operates the solenoid.
During the cold start warm-up period and the hot
start time delay, the PCM does not energize the solenoid.
When de-energized, no vapors are purged.
The proportional purge solenoid operates at a frequency
of 200 hz and is controlled by an engine controller
circuit that senses the current being applied
to the proportional purge solenoid and then adjusts
that current to achieve the desired purge flow. The
proportional purge solenoid controls the purge rate of
fuel vapors from the vapor canister and fuel tank to
the engine intake manifold."
here are the removal steps:
REMOVAL - 2.4L TURBO
(1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
(2) Remove solenoid from mounting bracket by
pressing tab and pulling of the solenoid from bracket
(Fig. 3).
(3) Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector
from the purge solenoid (Fig. 4).
(4) Remove the 2 vacuum lines (Fig. 4).
(5) Remove solenoid.
Hope this helps.
