I've replaced a whole heck of a lot of parts on my Vette, including all the bolts that keep everything together and one bolt that will never EVER come out in one piece (but will worry about that one if I ever have to rebuild the engine)but I've never had to take off the Crankshaft Damper. I take it, that the bolts that secure it aren't coming loose or everything is rusted together. I found that if you walk away from a project like that and come back later (with a bigger hammer

) or the next day, something usually works itself out. Hopefully yours will.
