You really can't HURT the engine with lower grade. The knock sensor will stop problems before you grenade the motor. However, when the knock sensor does it's job and tells the PCM you have predetonation, the PCM will pull timing and really reduce your performance. Some doen't mind this but then what did you buy a turbo for?
