Yes, you can run the GT (Stage 0 only) on regular but PLEASE do not stand on the loud pedal if you are running regular. The computer will try to adjust for your actions but if you insist on trying to spin the tires with regular you will eventually have engine damage and "it may not be covered by warranty" per your manual.
Please take it easy and drive like an old lady if you are going to run regular in your GT.
