All the taillights including the OEM, have one torx screw to hold them in. If you leave your PT out and live in an area that you have to worry about loosing any accessories, I guess your better off not putting anything on that will attract attention. A shorty chrome antenna, the replacement chrome handle on the rear hatch or the PT cover that goes over the rear taillights will also come off in a few seconds. The stealing goes on all over the country, more prevalent in some areas, but I wouldn't think the PT accessories would be a hot item...except of course to another PT owner.
