unless hydrogen power makes major leaps gas will still be our main supply
Hydrogen? As in Hindenburg?
The numbers get kinda iffy with H2, cause first you gotta use electricity to yank the H2 away from O.
then you gotta SQUEEZE THE HECK OUTOF IT, using even more energy to give you a reasonable supply of 'miles' in a tank that fits in your car.
You end up with a tank of compressed explosive gas (which means you are not allowed to drive thru tunnels) or you CHILL the HECK out of it to Liquify it, and end up with a very cold thing in your car that wants to Expand like Crazy.

The net is 'h2' economy makes sense if you got Gobs of electricity to make h2 fuel.

so where do we get the Gobs electricity?
Coal? Which just trades mobil pollution sources for immobile sources. or clean, safe nuclear, which generates no Greenhouse Gases.

if thats so then why has BMW and other companies already have test cars up and running, they have had them since 2001.

I'd like to point out some articles from popular mechanics
