Correct. Remember, it's less than a 5% gain...
As to intake - cooler IS better, no question. More air is also better, and I got a deal off a Forum member on a FIPK and went with that for better flow. It has a heat shield, but no question that when stopped I'm getting warmer air, but I figure once I start moving...  .
If I were you, remove silencers, K&N drop-in & get a true flow-thru exhaust (Cat-back) with money saved on intake. Less back pressure is good for a turbo, too.[?]
