I agree. I have a 2004 Limited Edition Turbo with 54,000 miles. I use only Mobil1 5W30 SuperSynth with K&N filter (HP-2009) and change it every 5000 miles.
Synthetic oil is more important in a turbo because it can withstand the high heat that's generated and not break down thus providing better lubrication to the turbo itself.
Better mileage...I think so. I'm getting a little better than 29 mpg on the highway.
