Also the width of the rim has been debated many times. Concensus seems to be that they width was not 6 inched until the 05's came out with the new wheel. till then it was a 5 inch width.

It tells you exactly the width on your front driver side door. Regular GT rims are 6" since they debuted in '03. The star rims are supposed to be 7" wide, but I can't say from personal experience.
