i replied to this post in the sound forum (
http://ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/topi...TOPIC_ID=13726). i do not have the one you are looking at, but it looks almost the same as mine. the direct connect is the way to go. i tried three different fm transmitters and they all needed lots of adjusting while driving to find a clear signal (lots of radio stations, military interference, and stations from mexico here in san diego, so fm reception is not that great. a guy at the apple store said the fm transmitters are a waste of money in large cities). also, using an fm transmitter makes your ipod sound only as good as the best fm station, there is a huge sound quaility difference with a direct connect. the options are an adaptor or a new head unit. i like the adaptor because of the features (adjust volume and change songs with the stereo controls, charge the ipod, all with one cord), and that when i'm not using it there is nothing visible that anyone would want to steal. again, good luck and let us know what you get...
