Yep GPS is the way to go, I use it all the time, for business, pleasure or just finding a place off craigslist. Personally I do not like the Cobra 3000 model that sells on QVC, it is too large of a unit to be sitting on your dash to much of a eye catcher for theives. Although the large screen is a plus to be able to read the map. So far I have been happy with a PDA / Bluetooth GPS reciever. Works great in and out of the car, downer is you need to keep up with recharging the two devices. My second choice would be a stereo integrated system like the Pioneer models http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...505659,00.html this one has a thing called NavTraffic that can reroute you past traffic. As far as the Cobra model is concerned try mounting it on your steering column instead of your window or dash. Think of it as inverting your mount upside down and turning your GPS device right way so you can read it. Then with some glue and some inginuity get it on your steering column. This way you can have the map and functions right at your fingertips. Here is a link to what I did. http://www.igoexplore.com/gallery/ZodiacGPS
