[8D] I just had my $30 K checkup. I truely think its up to each SERVICE WRITER? I paid close to $500! I did have my trans fluid changed with the filter(basic change not full flush) I also had front barkes & rotors turned(1st time #2k) actual miles)I had injectors serviced also. They also changed to contro arms front (WARRANTY) were squeaking) & tried to hose me for $70 to lube sway bushings! I got that back with a fight! All in all car is fine. I really think dealers try to get you if they can. The mechanic just does what he thinks is right but its the writer who you have to watch! I also had oil changed with filter. i did speak with maechanic & he truely is honest & ok... not so sure on the writer though! The mechanic said to change plugs next time or at inspection,,, curious other cars go 110k without changing plugs whats up here? Are we being taken? Thanks for sugestions & I hope this helped the post! MJB [8)]

Should have gotten the full flush. Anyway, the reason that other cars go 100,000 is that they use platinum plugs. If you have an NA cruiser, then replace your current plugs with a good platinum plug, and some nice wires, and be happy. If you have boost, DO NOT use platinum.
Here's a little article with some info on the "100,000 mile tuneup"
