The rims were always torqued to 100 ft/lbs.. Never made a difference

See, that is the problem. Thats what the rings do. They center the wheel. With the Inner bore of the Aftermarket wheels being bigger then the bore of the wheel hub, the wheels can never be centered properly. Thats where the hub centric ring comes into play. It takes up that empty space between the wheels and hub to center the wheel.[?]
