Alright, I know I have been dragging my feet on how to listen to my iPod in my PT, so finally I got one. Being in Hawaii for the holidays I was getting bumbed out about not being able to use my ipod in the rental, at home, visiting family, you can't just put on a set of earphones without anoying someone. So I ended up getting the Giffin iTrip and boyo did that do the job, not only was I able to commandeer my families radios in their own homes, I was able to play it in the car rental, (PT Convertable

) and once at a resturaunt I was able to tune into the radio station their radio was tuned to and was able to control that too[}

] Driving around in Hawaii the FM transmitter worked fine, but not good, static here and there, in Honolulu bad transmission, but for the majority of the time, the transmission was ok. All I'll say is it's good for traveling state to state or international.
Now that I'm back home in SF the transmission sucks, too many signals all over the place. So in a metropolitan area I would suggest a plug direct to your PT's stereo. For the weekend getaway to the country I would suggest the iTrip so you can take your tunes in the car, in the hotel and in your hosts stereo system too.
