Well my composite isn't up to par, and yes the rear wheels look closer together than the front, which I ment for them to look paralel. But the idea is there, I'm looking to remove the front fenders to create an open wheel look, i.e. the vw's posted earlier. What I'm trying to accomplish is to go for a bare bones, minimalist approach to hot rod building. Since I am not starting from an old clunker from the junk yard, like most gearheads, I need to strip down the PT of most non essential parts, like door handles, interior paneling, back seats, fenders, etc. I'm not just going to give it a matte black paint job, I'm going to be giving it a totally new personality, in the same lineage of old time hot rodders. Check out the work of Fred Hidalgo, Robert Ortiz, and other VW enthusiasts. I'm just thinking of taking the PT into that realm of hot rod design.
