I think it's a great direction for PT lovers to consider. With so many sold, there has to be mods in the future to build a "youth" or alternative to us old farts base. Hopefully, 5-10 years from now there will be alot of custom, modded or "hotrodded" PT's cruising.
I built a "streetrod" style bug in 1992...fenderless, dumped in front, primer grey, red suspension, yellow wheels, trim rings, sunroof from the windshield to the back window, nerf bars, custom tailights, dietz headlights mounted to the nerfbars...was really different then, kind of a forerunner to the current "volksrods". So I say, cut a new path for others to follow.
The front suspension may be a real downfall tho. With the FWD setup and all, could look really messy. But I could see black satin, teardrop tailights, painted steelies, rake, need to get the stance just right. [?]
