Let's stop spreading misinformation here....if it's a covered repair, the diagnostic is included. If it is NOT a covered repair, then no, the diag is not included. But you can't expect any warranty company to say "yeah, we'll cover any diagnostic work you have done, ever" because all it would take is a few nutty people who take their car to the dealership every time they go over a hard bump to have it diagnosed for free "just to make sure nothing is wrong"
