I am wondering if the Tranny cooler is integrated into radiator and/or requires purging after an auto tranny install. Common sense tells me it is related.
The cooler that's located under the car at the base of the firewall is NOT a tranny cooler, it's for the power steering. I don't believe the PT has a tranny cooler, although with the troubles that the transaxle is giving people, maybe a cooler would help. For your PT to overheat so fast after your service, it almost has to be something they did at the shop. Replacing the transaxle is pretty involved and loads of things have to be taken off or moved to do it. Good Luck.
