Jim,
You have to have the picture available on the web, I use Photobucket. Others use Imagestation, and there are several more. Once you have the picture online, you'll need the URL to it.
The url to my banner is
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tombanner1.jpg
Then you simple enclose it with the image tags (shown here with spaces)
[ img ]
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tombanner1.jpg [ /img ]
One you take out the "spaces", it appears like this.
