Jimbo,

Not saying your friend doesn't have the axle problem, but lowering was the first mod I did over 5 years ago and I just past 78K without a problem.

He's probably way out of warranty so tell him to get a second and maybe third opinion and I'm sure he'll get a better price than from the dealer.

Plus, who says he has to go back to the old springs? He could have the axle replaced for about $150 + or -
I told him to go somewhere else that there are tons
of lowered Cruiser's out there that have had no problem.
I wouldn't take anything there to be repaired there. They fix our
postal trucks and don't do a very good job at all.I don't think
it's a broken axle at all. I think they are just guessing.
Anyway if it is a broken axle he doesn't want to have it fixed
just to happen again. Not sure how many miles he has on it.He never drives it in the winter and never drives it to work.Like I said it's his baby.I told him to try some things I've heard of and to get another opinion.I also told him that if he wanted to go back to
the stock springs that I would change the rears for nothing as I have done it several times to my baby.
