I've been told that slotted and drilled rotors are only good for folks braking at very high speeds, since they handle the higher friction temps better. If you are staying at or near the speed limit, you do not necessarily NEED slotted/drilled rotors for added performance. If you are going for a particular look, then that's fine. If you're one of those folks that plan to tear up the highways and byways, then you'll probably need them. To reduce brake dust, Raybestos ceramic pads are the way to go. I got them last year and my (stock) chrome wheels have been dustfree and shiny ever since.
