Depends on how much contaminates the claybar removed. I would buy a new claybar for the next time you clay your car(s). One popular trick is to slice your claybar into thin strips. After you clay one (2' X 2' max) section with the slice, throw it away. Don't be too cheap and try to re-use the claybar too many times. Even after kneading the clay, there is a possibility of a contaminate coming to the surface and scratching your paint. Then you have a problem with storage and the possibility of the claybar drying out. It is often safer to just buy a new claybar. After you clay your paint, can always use the claybar to clay your wheels and then throw it away. Will remove brake dust and other embedded stuff from your wheels.
Unless you live in an area that has a lot of pollutants and contaminates, claying once or twice a year is the general rule.
