Nothing ever comes to market exactly like the show concept....the PT didn't, the Crossfire didn't, but they were both very close. Heck, a lot of show cars are just that - for show only, and are more of a design exercise than anything else.
Keep in mind the Charger concept car was designed on the old front drive Intrepid/300M platform. When DCX did away with that they could no longer manage the same proportions as the show car. Besides, if I remember right that Charger was also an alternative fuel vehicle and as such more of a true concept car than a "what do you guys think about this, should we build it?" sort of thing like the Challenger.
I have tremendous confidence that Dodge will bring this to market very much in the spirit of the show car. I doubt the carbon fiber hood will see the light of day though, execpt maybe, maybe, on the SRT8 variant.
