I agree with Fodder, replace the steal rear hatch and hood with carbon fiber. If this is a project car and not a daily driver then gut the interior until your down to bare metal. Run quater tank. Remove all the mechanicals from the windows and lock mechanism from the rear doors, weld them shut for structural rigidity, cut off as much from the door enterior that's not stuctural. Replace the front seats and replace them with something lighter. Remove old springs and shocks and replace them with coilovers. Aluminum wheels. Plastic Manifold, carbon fiber valve cover, Hot Rod Mirrors, the list goes on and on. Here's some pics of the carbon fiber stuff that I've had my eye on for a while.
