When I leased my 06GT I was not given the option of buying the navagational radio! I have looked at the new, for me, ones Chrysler sells that are stand alone units that seem to mount on the dash. Anyone know anything about how they work?? Thanks [^]
My suggestions:
1- Avoid the Factory version, especially the built-ins. Way overpriced, and tend to have overpriced map updates.

2- like Gonzo says: a removeable can come out and come with you. Handy for more-than-one-car owners, or folks who fly places and rent cars or folks who sometimes park in iffy neighborhoods, (or sometimes leave the car at a 'five star' dealership where even the chump change in the coin holders gets swiped).

3- I got a Garmin Quest, it's inexpensive and portable, but has limited memory, so the map-sets have to be downloaded to it from my PC. But I'm enough of a geek to not mind doing that.
My review of the Quest is here:

for info on gps in general

Good luck, and happy Navigating.
