I have a 2002 pt cruiser. It has 9300 miles and has developed a low but annoying chirping sound coming from the engine compartment while makeing right and left turns at low speeds. I took it to the dealer, and of course they could not reproduce the sound. Bid suprise! They stated belts and pulley all in good working condition. Anyhow, was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and if so have you had it fixed? I want to get rid of this noise without having to fight tooth and nail with the service dept.

I HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM ONLY A COUPLE OF TIMES THE SEAL THAT THE AXLE SHAFTS RIDE ON THEIR LIPS DRY OUT AND CAUSE THIS NOISE AS A TEMP CURE SPRAY THE INNER AXLE SHAFTS WHERE THEY MEEY THE TRANSAXLE WITH WD 40 IF NOISE GOES AWAY REPLACE THE AXLE SEALS RAY
