It's really thin stuff and you can line your whole car with the stuff, line the floors under the carpet, under the side panels, roof, line your hood, firewall, etc. It will also insulate and keep the car warmer during winter. I used similar stuff like this when I built a teardrop trailer and it worked really great. If you want to go the whole nine yards to insulate noise and the cold, use liquid expanding foam in the corners or hard to reach spots. Just know with foam that if there are wires or moving parts behind the panels it might get in the way of them. Do all that and you'll be running the quietest PT around, close the doors and you won't hear a thing from the outside.
