Aaahhhhh,
Back to posting, nice hiatus while Jody was upgrading the forum. Just wanted to let everyone know that I got and installed my wheel spacers today and DAMN they are good. The spacers added two inches to the wheel base, pushed the wheels out to a perfect stance.
I was expecting them to be a nice cosmetic change, but from the get go I could feel the difference in the ride and handling. Wider is better, smoother too. Turns seem to have less of a rolling feeling than the stock set up, more bite in the corners. And maybe it's me, but the bumps seem to smooth out as well, less gittery. I'm thinking that the extra width allows the wheel to travel more so the suspension has more travel? All I know is I got on the freeway on ramp, the big circular turn type, and I could speed along at 30 mph before I felt thr G's building. To me the stance of the car feels better too, more sure footed.
As for looks, the PT is looking a bit brawny too. The spacers give the wheels the extra beefy-ness I have been craving for.<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
