The lastest scandal, the firing of US attorneys because they weren't Republican enough http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17571977/
should cause an uproar, but is anybody shocked? Party above justice? Why not? There's just so much scandal to choose from...

Party above justice.....hmmmmm, where were those FBI files of the pesky Republicans that Clinton hated found? Oh yeah, in the White House. How many Republicans were audited on direct orders from Clinton? Oh, and HOW MANY PROSECUTORS WERE FIRED SHORTLY AFTER JANET RENO WAS APPOINTED? Upon taking office, in an unexplained departure from the practice of recent Administrations, Miss Reno suddenly fired all 93 U.S. attorneys. She said the decision had been made in conjunction with the White House. Translation: The President ordered it....

The Neos went after Clinton (rightfully) for lying, but demand Libbey be pardoned. Clinton's lies didn't lead to thousands of deaths. Libbey should not be pardoned, he should be joined by Cheney, Rove and Ashcroft in prison.

I'm sorry, I missed where Clinton put in jail time?

Cheney actually flew to the MidEast in a plane called "The Spirit of Strom Thurmond" (Strom Thurmond campaigned for segregation in the South).

Don't worry, Pelosi is taking his plane, it will be alright! And you're right, Strom was a racist. He also later repudiated his earlier position. Ted Kennedy killed a girl. And he'll get elected until his liver falls out
Barney Frank admitted to having paid Stephen L. Gobie, a male prostitute, for sex and subsequently hiring Gobie as his personal assistant. Gobie used the congressman's Washington apartment for prostitution. A move to expel Frank from the House of Representatives failed and a motion to censure him failed, he still gets elected.
And what about Dollar Bill Jefferson, he's still in office, although, to give Nancy her due, she stripped him of committee membership! You go Girl!

Elliott Abrams, an assistant secretary of state under Reagan, pleaded guilty in 1991 to two counts of withholding evidence from Congress over his role in the Iran-Contra affair. Bush I pardoned him; Bush II has appointed him to the National Security Council as director of its office for democracy, human rights and international operations. The post requires no Senate approval. I'm sure he's the best for the job.

Ex cons get jobs all the time. Sometimes they even get pardoned. Hell, there are people all over this country who were found guilty of murder, then later pardoned. Maybe they are the best choice for their job?

US border agents were prosecuted in a rigged case - giving the message to other border agents - "Don't mess with the flow of drugs". Other Iran contra veterans, John Negroponte and Otto Reich have joined the new Bush team with Abrams. Remember the other part of Iran contra? The US State department was actually involved in drug shipments to raise money. Smell anything? $12 BILLION is unaccounted for in Iraq under Bremer. There are reports the US is funding Sunni groups to undermine Hezbollah & other Shia groups - the money has to come from somewhere - drugs or "found" in Iraq. And, HELLO - Al Qaeda is Sunni....

The case against those agents was a mirror of the 2001 David Sipes case. The prosecution looked to that case in the prosection of those two. And they did shoot the guy, and then cover it up. Do I think justice was served, no! But where was your outrage when it was the Clinton DOJ in 2001????

Our veterans are given third-rate medical treatment. 1 reason is there have actually been budget cuts year-to-year (support the troops - right); the other reason is a decision to "privatize" what was government functions to a company run by a Halliburton exec. Government employees may not be the most motivated in the world, but to have profit drive medical treatment of

How come "The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903)?
