Sorry to hear about your problem with the manifold. I will admint that instructions leave a lot to the imagination when removing the various items that need to be taken off, but it did work for me. There's not a whole lot of tools other than what's in a decent tool box except for the torque wrench. The EGR tube in the rear of the engine and those darn electrical connections were the hardest things I found to take off. Hope the shop will honor your request about working out-doors so you can paint the underneatch of the manifold. I would think you would have to have a real good relationship with them to do that.
