Dennis, you rang my bell. Asking what polish is best you will invite dozens of responses. First thing to rememebr is this. Polish in the professional sense of the term "does NOT protect your finish. A polish is used to remove fine surface scratches and to restore shine/depth. The critical phase of getting a great looking finish is to wash/clean properly. (using a clay car) using a polish designed for the correct method you will apply it with (hand/high speed rotary/ DAPC ) if you have swirl marks thats another step all together. For your final protection step, you can use a wax or paint sealant. I use synthetic finishes in my detail shop because they last longer, and my customers like that. Most people don't know that the best wax, under ideal conditions lasts only one month. Suprised? It's true. I teach auto detailing, speak at car shows, and host discussions on professional web sites that include enthusiasts all over the globe. Rather than talk about specific brands on this forum, e mail me through my web site and I'll walk you through step by step on how to get the best looking finish in town.
