When the PT came out a few years ago, I wanted one so bad, but after testdriving, I didn't buy one because I thought it didn't have the acceleration we all need from time to time. The TURBO is FAST and gives me what I thought was lacking. I love my PT Cruiser and have never loved any of my prior new cars like this.
With Austin's traffic having become the nightmare that it has, I agree on the fact that we all need acceleration occasionally...self preservation didn't used to be such a big factor in getting to and from work every day!

[font=Comic Sans MS]I do think $19k is way to high for a used PT no matter how many miles. My new GT has every option available, down to the heated leather seats, and I got it brand new for $21,727. I don't think a loaded 2001 with the NA engine should cost a penny more than $15,000 even if it was garage kept and looks new. I think after the rebate became available, the used PT sellers are still struggling with adjusting their prices downward correspondingly.
And so far I've seen estimates of $900-$1,000 upwards to have it transported...so that would definitely add to the decision. Ideal thing would defnitely be to find one a little closer to home, with a little more realistic price....I gotta have enuff cash left to buy all that chrome....heehee...but we are gonna finish researching this one regardless...it sounds too good to be true.
