From what I've read most people seem to be switching to synthetic oil between 3000 to 6000 miles. I guess one needs to be careful not to put synthetic in "too early" before all engine parts have had the chance to "get seated" using regular oil. I plan to put
Mobil 1 in my GT after 5000 miles.
