Welcome to the forum, THier. [^] After driving that new GT Turbo you may soon forget about your former 2002 PT Cruiser. Don't know about any "magic wire" but then I wouldn't be cutting any wire on my 5-speed as it is performing well and "If it's not broken I don't plan on fixing it." From my experience with the GT 5-speed I found that after about 3000-3500 miles shifting improved--smoother, quicker, etc. I'm pleased with my 5-speed except for the "crazy position" of reverse--guess that's German engineering for you.
