I've also used RainX. I think that the 3 part Diamondite system fits in a completely different catagory than RainX. This system will remove the spots and contamination which RainX does not. The final product is advertised as a "chip guard" that is supposed to resist rock chips. I know that RainX does not make that claim.

RainX actually works better at repelling water which is what it is designed to do. I may try putting RainX over the Diamonite when it starts raining this winter. (do you believe that . . . no rain in the Northwest).

Diamondite has worked as advertised for me.
