Scratches can either go through the clear coat (severe) go midway through the clear (Mild) or only effect the surface (light). Severe scratches can only be improved with the right chemicals and tools (compound and high speed buffer)PROFESSIONALS ONLY. Mild ones can be improved with greater success by anyone with some experience. (light cleaners, compounds, ) light blemishes can be eliminated all together with products that will remove them. Some were mentioned here. stay away from ones with "fillers" as they will return after you wash the car. Clay does nothing for scratches, only removes surface comtaminants. 30 days before you wax/seal. I would go back and have them fix it right for you. Gary
