Well, I dont have any hard numbers, but the butt dyno says yes. However, this is not something I would reccommend to those who have not modded before and are afraid of messing something up. I would say do all the other easy things first and gain some confidence, seeing as this mod is not easily reversable. If you arent afraid of modding, have at it, it is definitly worth the 30-45 min. Take a close look at it once you have it out, you will see just how restrictive it is.
