I had a Chrysler dealer install the mopar receiver/antenna kit($174) & the PT specific installation kit ($125) They charged me $100 labor, and it took them about 2 1/2 hours to install it.

Except for the antenna on the roof, you wouldn't know anything was done to the car. They drilled a hole in the roof, mounted the antenna, ran the cable down the "b" pillar to the left rear quarter panel, where the receiver was installed. The cable to the radio was run under the trim and up into the dash, where it simply plugged into the radio. Like I said, except for the antenna-bump you don't see anything on the car.

Turn on the radio, hit the "mode" button once for CD and twice for Sirius. You use seek, scan, pty and the memory buttons as you would for am & fm radio. On my RAZ radio (am/fm/cd/cassette) You see the channel name and number. You do not see the song name and artist.

I checked out the kenwood setup at bestbuy and I was turned off by having another tuner to deal with. I also talked to one of their installers who said that the antenna would have a wire coming out of it, on the roof, going down to the nearest opening where they put it through the gasket. I've since seen this on another car in a parking lot and boy, does it look hideous!!!

The Chrysler parts and installation are fully warrantied by Chrysler. Even though they list the kit on the mopar.com website for 2003 PT's , they installed it on my 2002. You must make sure the radio suitable for the kit.

Using for the radio for the first time today, I was listening to the Sirius comedy channel. They were playing the Monty Python skit "Holy Handgrenade" from "The quest for the Holy Grail". I was laughing and NOT listening to ANY commercials!!!!
