I have an 02 classic edition and had the tape marks on front and back. Went to my dealer and they were going to replace the gray with new gray but I was able to talk them into new smooth dream bumper covers and paid them a couple hundred to paint them to match the patriot blue.
Keep working on the dealer, I have seen a lot of people in the different forums who had theirs painted. Some for free.
