I figure those that do it, do it for the retro look. It does look cool, but it is definitely a V8 thing to get added hp and torque. I'm more performance minded so my '01 had a single exhaust with a axleback Dynomax muffler. My GT is a single with a axleback BTG flow through exhaust. In the near future I'm going to a 2 1/2" catback exhaust with either a resonator or maybe even a straight pipe in preparation for the Stage 2 upgrade.
