The Hella Twin Supertone Horns that Gary got are rated at 118 Decibels. The sound is very loud, and is along the lines or a high-end European car, in my opinion. The kit uses one 300Hz and one 500Hz horn.

Gary - I would make my first guess at getting enough power to the novelty horn as well.If you are, then it is probably just a cheaply made horn, or has some sort of defect.Make sure that water isn't getting in the horn and staying there (like if it were pointed up it would collect water).
