if you want something that will be loud, air horns are the best. they are able to cut through the mind-fog that alot of drivers have about them. stereos, talking or drinkin' lattes, no difference. i installed a set of hella two tone air horns. installed them in front of the radiator just behind the grille. just ran the wire from the oem horn(pitched out that wimpy thing) to the compressor. i decided not to have a switch for the oem/air horns, because when you really need the airhorns, you can be fartin' around reaching for the switch. the compressor and horns all fit behind the grille. i took a piece of aluminum 1/8 or 3/16" ran it from side to side of the opening (using the convenient factory supplied holes) and mounted the compressor and horns on the aluminum. always point the horns down so that no water gets into them. you could put the compressor where the stock horns were and then just run the tubing from the stock horn location out to the front of the car. some drilling involved, but minor in that the tubing diameter is approx 3/8" i have a billet grill on my pt, but it still should not be a problem with having enough room to mount those bad boys with a factory grille. the oem and replacement grilles are curved enough that there is alot more room than it first appears. what ever choice you make, anything is better than the oem horn.
