Welcome to the Forum doggie62 [^] . We bought a used '02 base, and love it. It is our ONLY vehicle, gas milage isn't the greatest, but we really do like the ride and "retro" look. The PT has a very great following, and it still gets a lot of "lookers" where ever we are. IF you do get one, first "mod" should be is hood struts from Blaines. All PT's should have them factory installed. I have found Blaines to be the best, he is easy to work with and they look great. My $.02 worth
