Just went to stevesdigicams to look quickly and there are alot of cameras at 4 megapixels for $400 and under. I personally always start looking for something that I find cool looking or attractive. That being said the Cruiser fits that. Then I start to weed through everything. Looks, price and what the review says. I like a long zoom, optical, not digital. Optical is true while digital just zooms a picture of a picture of a picture. My camera is 7 zoom which is about one of the largest, there are larger but so is the price tag. Then there is the battery, proprietary or AA(rechargeable). Of course AA is cheaper and more convienent to buy. I went the proprietary route basically because I wanted that camera. I just bought another battery ($40.00 vs. $15.00) I had the Fuji 2800 which is great and I still use, replaced it with the Minolta A1 which as of now I am still learning to use. Its alittle tuffer but I am getting there. Go home and read those reviews at stevesdigicams, check out the looks, functions, prices and if you want goto Bestbuy and check afew out first hand. Of course digital cameras are alittle like computers, what you buy today will be replaced in a month or two with a newer version. Have fun shopping.
Please be aware, Sci-Fi would be able to expand all of this better then I, but the main thing is read a few reviews, see what is different from one camera to another and the choice is yours. You did the same thing when buying your cars.
