Gas does and will matter in your GT ! The owners manual reccommends 91 octane . If you go lower you risk pinging and/or possible engine damage. What most people have noticed is that going much higher doesn't really enhance the engine performance in stock setup. However in my area I have a choice of 89 or 93 octane and noticed a definate difference when running 89 so I stick with 93.
