In using 89 octane does the phrase "possible engine damage" ring a bell? Do you think the pinging sound is just innocent noise? I haven't heard or seen that 93 octane is bad. A lot of GT owners use it. Look on the inside of your gas door. It says use premium gas. I'd hate to see you damage your engine by using 89 octane.
