The cabin air filter is located behind the windshield washer bottle. You can't see it until you remove the inlet grill above the windshield washer filler. '03s, and '04s have the housing from the factory. You have to remove the air inlet grill in front of the windshield only on the right side. I left the wiper arm in park, but you can also stop the wipers in mid-stroke, for a little extra clearance. You need a phillips screwdriver, and a 10mm socket on a 6" extension, or 10mm nut driver. There are 4 screws to remove the grill. 3 on top, and 1 near the right side hood hinge. These screws are for fast installation, and only expand a plastic plug that holds the trim on. Be very gentle, and you may have to hold the front plugs with your finger to get the screws to back out. After removing the grill, remove the 3 10mm bolts holding the washer bottle. Don't disconnect anything on the bottle, you just tilt it forward. There should be a 'snap-in' grill in the housing where the outside air enters the heat/vent system. From previous posts there are at least 3 filters you can use. When you put the plastic plugs back to hold the grill down, push the plugs in then push the screws in with your finger.
