Go to your local Shlep Boys, Autozone, whatever, and get either some high temp engine enamel (sp?), or what I have used, Dupli-Colour Annodized finish. It stands up pretty good, I have had mine doe for 2 seasons now. To prep take a dremel or similiar tool and take down all the surface rust. You will find that the caliper has a textured finish, but after you paint it you won't notice it too much.
