The unfortunate thing is that a lot of long time Chrysler dealers (at least in the L.A./Orange County/Riverside area) are unable, unwilling, slow to change/upgrade their facilities, service depts, and personnel to meet todays customer expectations and demands. Dodge dealers on the other hand, pride themselves on providing the best possible customer service and it's cheaper for many dealership owners that cannot afford to rebuild their facilities but are willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Makes return visits and customer satisfaction more likely. CarMax impresses me in the way they take care of you, regardless of the price or make of your car, as if you purchased an expensive upscale import. Plus if you compare the cost of doing the service intervals, CarMax is much cheaper than other dealers.
West Coast Customs is a relatively small and nondescript shop from the outside. Don't know why they don't answer your e-mail. Might want to call them instead, since they are local:
877 WCC 4 YOU, or 877-922-4968 (toll free);
310 645 1156 (regular line)
Curious to know if you meant you wanted to turn your PT into a ragtop or just add a carson top. Would be cheaper just to trade-in and get the convertible than to pay to have it done. The engineering is already done and tested from the factory and you get a 3/36 warranty. In any case, shop around and see if they have any references that you can go look at and talk with the owners if they are satisfied and have had any problems.
