Might be a good idea to have the refrigerant level checked. If the AC isn't used for long periods of time, the seal dry out and it can leak refrigerant.

Stick a probe type thermometer in the AC vent and see how cold the air coming out of the vents is. (If a mechanic checks the refrigerant level, they should check the temp coming out of the vents first).
